Went to the Galleria Train Show today (Sunday) and thought it was fantastic. Many, many vendors....although my interest is in 0-gauge, I was fascinated by the N-gauge and G-gauge stuff. There was an N-gauge steam engine which was fully remote controlled and had two speakers about the size of a dime in the tender.
The club layouts were impressive, especially the HO one from the Ohio club, it was about as large as a baseball diamond.
Bought some antique cars and trucks, an antique fire engine, some train pins and a PRR hat (had to have it). Also bought a "neon" Union Station sign -- it flashes and blinks like the real thing. Very cool.
I'm dreaming now of that G-gauge stuff on my back deck -- my wife will kill me....

WOW sounds like you had a great time and I have also thought about some G scale around my swimming pool out back but my wife says trains in the basement is enough. I have seen Southern RS3 and F3's in G scale and I really like them. I just might get them one day and put them on a shelf to look at.
