We have a customer up in TN that was havifng trouble with an "O" O-42 switch "humming" when in one position. Also one of his TMCC engines was behaving unreliably: blinking head light, stopping for no reason, etc.. Being electronics oriented (does aircraft electronics repair) and after several phone calls to us he found a cold solder joint on one of the grounds on the underside of the switch. After repairing the joint all is well.
