I am planning on making a retaining wall to go around my beacon, which is dug into my mountain, and I was wondering if anyone knows what to use to make one. If there are any kits or materials used to make them please tell me. Thanks.

Max,
Next time you are at Hobby Town, ask Bill what he used to make a retaining wall. He laid each block by hand. It is a bit of work, but the result looked great. You also could make your base out of styrofoam and then cover that with a paper that was made to look like stone.

Ok, my dad suggested that I look for an HO Scale retaining wall and see if that works. If not I'll probably look for a kit.

Max,
Have you thought about putting in a chain-linked fence around your beacon? It seems that might be more prototypical for that structure. You could make a no trespassing sign and post it on the fence.

Well, with the position Im in a retaining wall would work best, because the beacon is dug into the mountain.

hello, i have heard that some people have used the plastic of a flower bed as walls. the stuff you use to devide the grass from flowers. some of them look like poured walls when put in place.

I decided that what I might do is buy some of the cheap balsa wood at HT and scratch build one. But if anyone has any other good ideas please share them.
