This is a reminder to everyone that the meeting Thursday night will be at Bill Dischinger's. Bill is opening his home at 5:00 for anyone wanting to see the trains run. I have heard that there may be some new lash-ups to observe. If you have never seen this layout, bring your camera! I have seen it several times, and I am still bringing mine!
The business meeting will begin about 7:00 and afterward Bill will conduct a class in weathering with powders. Here are the instructions per Bill:
Update on weathering class after the club meeting ;
· Weathering powders will be provided (unless you have special powders of your own)
· For those of you who want to try your hand at weathering with powders , please bring the following:
· 1- an item of rolling stock or engine (type , size or color doesn’t matter) You can also bring a building or vehicle.
· 2- Three artist brushes (small point for small detail , medium size for weathering , larger size to buff the powders) Medium to soft bristles. The small, medium and large might be 1/8” ¼” 3/8” as a suggestion.
· The remaining items will be provided at the class.
· Bring a note pad to take notes (if you wish to).
